Meet Shelby
My passion for photography goes way back. I’ve always loved being creative and really got interested in taking photos as a high school student. While studying graphic design in college, I found various opportunities to learn and practice my skills with photography, which eventually led me to starting my business at the end of 2021. Having memories documented is a really important and special thing to me. I love looking back and having that moment of nostalgia, and it brings me great joy to create that experience for others!
In 2019, I met my husband when we both signed up to go on a mission trip in Costa Rica. Two years later, we were dating, and less than a year after that, we got married! He truly is my best friend and one of my biggest supporters, and I’m so grateful to live life with him. Some of the most important things to me are my faith, my family, and the community around us.
I grew up in small town North Dakota, and always said I never wanted to live in a big city. Ironically, my husband and I ended up spending a short time in a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. We are thrilled to be back home and close to family again! I love traveling and exploring new places, but am also totally content spending time at home. I am super indecisive, so don’t bother asking where I want to eat. I enjoy cooking and baking, but for some reason I cannot do either without making a mess of the kitchen. Speaking of food, I have a major sweet tooth, but some days I seriously crave fruit and veggies–it seems a little contradictory to me, but I’ll just call it balance. If you come over to visit, we'd most likely end up playing board games. I'm very laid back and definitely not a “Type A” personality, but I do find great satisfaction in making lists and checking things off.
That’s a little of my life in a nutshell! Overall, I’m just a normal, imperfect person who wants to live this life with purpose, and I would love the opportunity to serve you!
I love to photograph people because it allows me to showcase the beauty within you and the value of your unique story.
Marriage is such a beautiful gift and reflection of God’s love toward us. Being married to my husband (and now a mama to our boys) is my favorite adventure yet!
